This song is about hanging in there - putting up a good fight, doing the right thing, and a touch of sticking it to the man. Even if your voice is soft, muted, hidden, marginalized, or held back for any reason, it's still YOUR VOICE. And like this song says, "A soft voice is strong when it's joined by millions..."
I recently altered the tune for a more polished recording I'm working on and also so I could tailor it to my style for solo (piano/vocal) settings.
The world is a mess right now. It's very likely a mess (more or less) when you're reading this. There are certainly good and amazing people making the world a better place. Those are the folks the world needs more of; we DO NOT need any more "fear-driven hucksters" in political office.
